...rang the fire brigade and then the landlord again, who by now was very angry at being disturbed in the early hours – but he begrudgingly came down to the pub, stating that we would all be barred if it wasn’t true!
Well, he soon saw that it was true as the fire brigade pulled up next to his car. It was then that we realised why he hadn’t believed us – it was April Fool’s Day!
