...ry or the Police and look after all the weapons. My dad asked him to make reproduction pieces of armour and helmets so he could swap them with the real thing.  The plan was that he would swap things over when my mum had gone out but as there were always banquet staff wandering around the house, that wasn’t possible.  However, we came up with a cunning plan!  As we were always coming home in the early hours from parties, it seemed a good idea for us to swap the armour over in the dead of night whilst everyone else was in bed.  This was actually quite scary and it was a good job we had lots of dutch courage inside of us! Gradually over the next year or two...

It was quite comical as we would be walking down the street and notice a car kerb crawling behind us; we would purposely stop at every shop and stare in the window for a few minutes so that they had to keep stopping too! On another occasion Kev gave me a lift home on his motorbike late at night and we noticed a car driving behind us. As we got near to Hoar Cross the car was still a little way behind us and we began to think that it might be following us as you never saw many cars out there late at night! As we got to the Lodge and the entrance to the Hal...

...gain, the Police were called every week informing them of the threats on the singer’s life and they eventually took my dad’s gun licence off him just in case anything did happen! The original suits of armour that were swapped over We tried to keep out of the way as much as possible and stayed in Burton all week, where we worked, and came home at weekends where we would meet up with our friends and party in the apartments out of sight and sound of my parents. One morning we came home at 8am after being out all night and met my dad on the stairs as we were going to bed. He looked surprised and said “You’re up early today aren’t you?” to which we...

...from the Police asking if our van had been at this address. Of course, we said it had as we had been changing the lock. They then informed us that the couple who lived there had been on holiday and had arrived home unable to get into their house. The neighbour had taken a note of our company name off the van as she thought it odd that we were there and that’s how we found out that Gavin had gone to the wrong address! Apparently the road was quite a long one and halfway along it changed names – Gavin had gone to the wrong half! Luckily for us the couple saw the funny side of it and the Police informed us that they couldn’t really charge us for breaking an...
