...um or the solicitors’ letters. The parrot, Percy, would pick up on this and when an antique dealer came round one day, the parrot told him to ‘B----r’ off! It nearly lost him the deal! If my dad was on the phone, the parrot would be squawking it’s head off, which nearly drove him mad and he’d end up shouting (and swearing!) at the parrot to shut up! (If anyone’s ever heard a parrot squawk, it’s worse than a peacock!) It was quite comical really if you tried not to think about my dad’s temper – but absolutely hilarious when someone walked into the lounge one day and Percy said to my dad, “He’s behind you!”

Myself and my bridesmaids went to get our hair done in the morning and Kev slapped a piece of steak on his jaw to bring the swelling down after the rather unfortunate fight at his stag do. Fortunately, the bruise didn’t show up too much on the photos!
