...me of the IRA bombings, and also the Racing Car Show at London’s Olympia.  This was something we usually went to most year’s due to my dad’s interest in motor racing but I think this was the first time we’d been to the London one, so it was quite exciting particularly as Radio Luxembourg were there sponsoring the show and I got to see all the lovely DJs.  Mum wanted to get a pair of evening shoes so we grabbed a taxi and he dropped us off outside a coat shop.  These coats looked like nothing we’d ever seen before (the London fashion scene was a bit ahead of Hoar Cross!) and we went in to try them on.  After quite a while we decided to buy one each...
