Winston Churchill who helped her enormously when she first became Queen whilst she was still getting over the loss of her father no doubt. Her grandmother Queen Mary must have been a huge help to her in those early days with advice and support although she too sadly died in March 1953 before seeing her grand-daughter crowned.
In 2015 the Queen was declared the longest reigning monarch on the throne and in 2022 the world, always supported by her husband of 73 years, Philip until his death in 2021.
